Ballroom With a Twist!

Just recently I had the opportunity to join the cast of 'Ballroom With a Twist' which is something I have been working at for a while.  It's the reason that I started to take private lessons upon moving to Chicago, so to say I am thrilled is an understatement.  I am currently in Vancouver which is one of the most beautiful places on earth!  John was not able to come with me this time but hopefully he will on the next trip.  The best thing about this show is that I only travel for a couple days at a time and then get to go home.  It works perfect with being married and couldn't be more grateful that I get to have both.  Everyone in the cast is soooo amazing to work with and super talented.  I am trying to learn as much as I can while surrounded by so much talent.  Every show we have a different celebrity that hosts.  Last week was Kristi Yamaguchi (spelling? haha) and this week is Evan Lysacek, the Olympic Figure Skater.  What is so amazing about these celebrities is how nice and humble they all are, and that they really are just normal people.  In the show I get to do a solo, two duos, and then some group numbers as well.  I try to blend in as best as possible with the group because obviously I am the only non-ballroom dancer in the show.  John couldn't be a more supportive husband and am grateful for all that he does for me.  His job is going well in Kansas. That's right, I said Kansas.....LOL, but it's actually really nice there.  And pretty much I can be happy wherever John and Izzie are!

Finally!!

So my New Years Resolution was to make a blog for John and I.  Well it's now July and my blog has just barely been created.  That's okay though, because better late that never right?  I think the main thing I am excited for about this blog is having it made into a book at the end of the year.  It's the most perfect journal!  It will be so nice to be able to look back at all our memories for the year, because heaven only knows how often my Alzheimer's kicks in.  So I look forward to blogging often and hopefully becoming better at it!
